Last week I watched Build 2025 from Seattle. Microsoft unveiled their vision of the "agentic web" – an internet where AI agents make decisions and execute tasks on behalf of users and organizations.
But while I was watching the presentation, I thought about a potential client I spoke with. An entrepreneur from Rotterdam.
He said something that stuck with me. He had spoken to one of our competitors: "€12,000 for a simple automation? That's really a lot of money in this day and age."
And I had to agree. Because I believe we should build AI automations and AI Agents together with our clients instead of building them in closed-off silos.
During Build 2025, Microsoft showed us the future of work.

The promise and the problem of Microsoft Build 2025
Microsoft introduced more than 50 announcements during Build 2025, all aimed at developing AI agent technologies that can work independently or together to solve complex business problems. The company expects businesses to deploy 1.3 billion agents by 2028.
Sounds great, right?
The problem: approximately 230,000 organizations already use Microsoft's Copilot Studio. These are mainly large companies with IT departments and budgets of hundreds of thousands.
What if you're an organization of 50 employees? An accounting firm, a real estate company, a consultancy? Then you fall through the cracks.
Microsoft builds for the Fortune 500. We build for the rest.
Why everyone is talking about agents (and why that's justified)
Let me explain why this development is so important.
An AI agent is not a chatbot. It's a system that can independently execute tasks without you being there. Think of:
